On the latest episode of his show, the veteran analyst engaged in a discussion about hot takes circulating in the country. Stephen A. Smith’s controversial remark targeting Kim Kardashian seemed to be for the sake of extra views. However, one comment didn’t sit well with the 35-year-old 76ers’ star.

Stephen A. Smith said, “Is Kim Kardashian a “pro***ute”? Is Kris Jenner a “p*mp?” This immediately prompted a response from Beverley, who retweeted this by saying, “Not cool. She has kids. Should not be the tittle or topic.”

Stephen A. Smith has a history of giving controversial takes on television. And those very well may be how he gets viewers to tune in to his show night in and night out. Smith has never been shy about speaking his mind.

However, facing backlash, Stephen A. Smith shed light on his side of the story. He tweeted, Clerical error bro. You are absolutely right. That is being corrected right now as we speak. And for the record, I don’t think of @KimKardashian that way nor would I ever speak of her or any woman that way, which I’ve stated. That’s for checking that issue.”

The fiasco didn’t go unnoticed by Stephen A. Smith’s peers and fans alike. With call out tweets such as Patrick Beverley’s, he had to issue a clarification. Now, all eyes are on Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, to see how they may respond to Smith’s tweet.
