McCants recognized the superb performance of Haliburton for his team and said that it was not good for him to have left the court. He said, “The way the way he’s terrorizing the league right now um Team going to miss him League going to miss him.”The vivid imagery of a player of Haliburton’s caliber being carried off didn’t sit well with McCants, who emphasized his generation’s resilience, stating, “I’m not going to have that image out there, nobody carrying me off.”

Now, the Indiana Pacers are expected to go through a tough period without their star player. Sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference, tied with several other teams, Haliburton’s presence and on-court abilities would certainly be missed.
Coach Rick Carlisle, recognizing the impact, stated that it was “a very deflating moment.” Winning against the Boston Celtics was a hard-fought battle signifying the uphill battle they anticipate in Haliburton’s absence.
Looking ahead, the Pacers have a tough schedule awaiting them as they take on the Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, and the powerful Denver Nuggets. With the Eastern Conference becoming fiercer, the Pacers have to pull themselves up by their bootstraps without the leadership of their star player, thus testing how resilient and adaptable this team can be.
