The New Year’s Eve is definitely one of the most celebrated events of the year around the world. From music to fireworks, the entire world celebrates the end of the year. However, seems like the LeBron James family is not engaging in any such celebrations this year. While the Los Angeles Lakers star is away from home, his wife Savannah James has said no to parties to welcome 2024.

LeBron James is on a road trip with his Lakers teammates in New Orleans currently. Amid this road trip, the 4x MVP may have missed out on the festivities of the New Year’s Eve. Luckily, his wife has no plans of celebrating in her beau’s absence.

LeBron James has been on a gritty road trip, facing two back-to-back top-seeded opponents on some special occasions. He duelled with the Minnesota Timberwolves just 24 hours before the Pelicans matchup on his 39th birthday. Then came the encounter with Zion Williamson and co. on New Year’s Eve. While the Lakers star is out battling some young teams, his wife Savannah has spared him the fear of missing out on celebrations.

Savannah James revealed some lazy New Year’s Eve plans on her Instagram stories, sharing a reel to express her thoughts. She wished her followers a “Happy New Year’s Eve”, urging them to “Be safe out there”.

The reel depicted Savannah’s plans on New Year’s Eve to just stay in bed and nap before the clock strikes 12. She also put up this video hours before the ball dropped, further clarifying her plans to stay home on this auspicious day.

James has always been a family man who would have loved to spend New Year’s Eve with his loved ones. However, Savannah seems to have ensured he doesn’t feel too bad about his toiling road trip with the Lakers. While she held the fort down for The King, James went on to put up a gritty fight in his matchup with the Pelicans.

LeBron James may not have had time to celebrate New Year’s Eve, but he gave his fans something to cheer about on the special day. Playing against the young Pelicans lineup, James not only outscored his teammates but also his opponents. His efforts, however, came in vain as the Pelicans prevailed through a brilliant team effort.

The 4x champion put up 34 points on 50% shooting from the field. His teammates tried to support his phenomenal efforts, chipping in some crucial buckets themselves. Anthony Davis continued his red-hot form, dropping 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Austin Reaves showed out off the bench, racking up 20 points himself. However, it all fell short as Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram dropped 26 each to seal the victory for New Orleans at home. Some impressive contributions from C. J. McCollum and Jonas Valenciunas helped their case too.

A long homestead for the Lakers to kick off 2024 is what awaits The Chosen One and the team. However, as far as missing out on festivities is concerned, Savannah has ensured James doesn’t miss out on valuable time with his family.
