Patrick Mahomes was in attendance to support Luka Doncic and co. as the Dallas Mavericks faced the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. Despite being a Philadelphia Eagles fan, Mavs Forward Grant Williams showered some love on Mahomes for coming out to support his team. ?Glad to have ya in our corner @PatrickMahomes.? Williams wrote on X with a picture of Mahomes sitting courtside.

Williams? message for Mahomes came days after he showed up at a post-game conference wearing a Jason Kelce jersey. He called the Philadelphia Eagles star the best Center in the NFL and congratulated him on the win over the Dallas Cowboys. Williams? comments rubbed the Dallas Mavericks fans the wrong way as their own player was dawning a rival team?s jersey.

Dallas Mavericks are in good form

Despite the Dallas Mavericks losing in Patrick Mahomes? presence, Luka Doncic and Co. are cruising through the season. There were a lot of questions before the start of the season about the pairing of superstars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. They were unable to get their team to the playoffs last season after Kyrie joined the Mavericks in February. That raised some concerns about their on-court chemistry and how they would fit together. But Luka and Kyrie have proved the critics wrong after a red-hot start to their season. Luka has been playing at an MVP level, averaging 31.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 8.8 assists. And Kyrie is proving to be a great co-star for Luka, averaging 20.3 points and 7.3 assists.

Apart from Luka and Kyrie, Grant Williams has also shown great promise in Dallas. He got traded to the Mavericks this summer after spending four years in Boston and helping them reach the NBA Finals in 2022. Williams? impact on the team has been evident from Day 1. He is averaging 14 points and 4.1 rebounds, but more importantly, he is doing all the dirty work for Luka Doncic and Co. Dallas has been in great form so far, and if they continue to play as they have, they might go deep into the playoffs this season.
