LeBron James and Stephen Curry both draw people in like magnets. But when the two NBA legends get together on the same floor, it’s an even better sight. You can imagine the crowd that will attract. The recent Warriors vs Lakers matchup was one such event. From Bad Boy Bunny, Kim Kardashian, JLo, and many more A-listers, the game could very well have been an individual event.
Along with the aforementioned, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe also made his presence. A loyal LeBron James fan, it’s only natural that he would be there to cheer the Lakers on, right? Well, that much could be true, but a tweet from his post-game had Unc under fire for switching loyalties. The video he shared showed him holding the match-worn shoes of Stephen Curry.
Now, in the recent episode of Nightcap, Shannon and his co-host Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson discuss the moment. In the process, Ocho gives him a great offer, one that could put him back in favor with the Lakers fans. Ocho said that he was willing to exchange the game ball where LeBron hit 40,000 points for the shoes. Sharpe had one answer, “No.”

Johnson wasted no time jumping on the whole Curry shoes situation, but Sharpe seemed to evade the question by directing his attention to a Chad figurine he had at hand. Not one to be dissuaded, Ocho keeps at his offer – Steph’s signed shoes for LeBron’s signed game ball. Finally, the former tight end, seeing no way around it, gave his answer.
But not before trying to salvage the situation as best as he can. “You do realize I can like, hit Bron up and just got have him sign a ball,” the 3x Super Bowl Champion said. Pepe didn’t let go; not even in the slightest. He pointed out that there is an ocean of difference between getting just any ball signed by the “King” and the game ball that he hit 40 with, signed. While he does have a point, this was Unc’s first time meeting the Warriors superstar. So, it was probably just excitement. Heeding to the emotion coupled with respect, Sharpe had a reply for the spectators.

Sharpe had a sharp reply to online trolls
As comments started flowing in against Shannon Sharpe for switching allegiance, he had a single question for all the trolls. He asked whether someone could only be a fan of one player, adding that it sounded ridiculous to him. He even went as far as using numbers in place of the words ‘one (1)’ and ‘to (2)’, clearly driving home his point.

Funny enough, this comes in the wake of a fight that Sharpe got into with Kendrick Perkins on National TV. For two accomplished athletes in their respective fields fighting like groupies over LeBron James; that was an incident that got much backlash.
Well, what do you think of the sudden change of heart? Is it simply Sharpe being appreciative of two legends or is there more to it? Do drop your thoughts below!
