The Boston Celtics have started the season like they mean business. Often falling short of the NBA title for the last couple of seasons, the Celtics hierarchy decided to shuffle up their roster. The new look roster has started the season in fine form, winning all four of their games. The Celtics would look forward to maintaining their 100% record, as they face the Brooklyn Nets in their fifth game of the season.

However, the Nets could be without several key players. The availability of Ben Simmons is also a source of intrigue for Brooklyn fans.

The Brooklyn Nets did offload Kevin Durant last season. The Nets received a haul of Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson and several first round picks. Bridges impressed as soon as he was given more offensive responsibilities. The Nets began the season with three wins and two defeats and now face a visit from the Boston Celtics.

The Nets will have their work cut-out, as they will be without Ben Simmons for the game. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype “Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons is OUT for tonight’s game versus the Boston Celtics”. Simmons has had a revival of sorts under the tutelage of Jacque Vaughn. He has averaged 7.4 points in five games this season.

The Nets will be without the likes of Nic Claxton and Cameron Johnson, which means that Brooklyn will most likely lineup with a small-ball lineup. The Nets will start the game with Spencer Dinwiddie, Lonnie Walker, Cam Thomas, Mikal Bridges and Dorian Finney Smith.

When and where to watch the Nets vs Celtics?
