Philadelphia 76ers‘ star player James Harden‘s future is on the line and it’d be better for both parties involved to find a solution with mutual agreement. Nonetheless, in the last season, the team’s joint efforts helped it maintain consistency in the standings. This effort also contributed significantly to Joel Embiid winning the NBA MVP award. Their partnership with Harden undeniably influences the 76ers’ regular season success. It also plays a significant role in Embiid’s achievement.

However, Harden’s trade request raises questions about his loyalty and compatibility with other star players on the team. In connection to this, a former NBA legend also raises concerns for the Clippers regarding Harden’s potential reunion with his former teammate.

In a recent episode of SiriusXM NBA Radio, NBA legend Eddie A. Johnson shared a message for the Los Angeles Clippers regarding James Harden. He said, “He’s out there saying, oh, I wanna go to the Clippers. If I’m the GM of the Clippers, I would be wary of that.”

He asked the Clippers’ management to be cautious about adding him to the team. Johnson also points out that while the Clippers are ahead of the LA Lakers in recent head-to-head matchups, the Lakers’ talent propels them forward.

Johnson also emphasizes if the Clippers’ interest in Harden is solely to compete with the Lakers, it’s worth questioning whether it’s a secure move or not. Considering this, he adds, “But [Clippers] have to worry, because, he’s left 3 teams in less than 2 years, are you gonna feel secure.?”.

Additionally, he stresses the significance of group chemistry and dynamics. He suggests the Clippers carefully consider whether Harden’s arrival will interfere with the existing team chemistry.

The Beard has been in the league since 2009. After getting drafted as a 3rd overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team became star-studded with 3 Hall of Famers, including Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Harden himself.

However, the team’s trio stint lasted only three years, with the coaching staff forcing Harden to come off the bench in his final season. Despite this, he secured the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award before his departure to join the Houston Rockets. During his nine-year tenure in Houston, Harden achieved the most individual awards and recognition of his career.
