The 6’5 guard heaved a wild shot beyond half-court and drained it to beat the buzzer. This brought Team Venezuela closer to the Slovenian contingent’s lead to conclude the second quarter. However, the action did not stop there.
Zamora made an incredible buzzer-beater to put Team Venezuela ahead. However, this only made the game more intense. With the game in a highly intense situation, a nasty scuffle broke out just moments before Zamora’s brilliance.

While Zamora stunned the crowd with his buzzer-beater, his teammate got into a scuffle with Team Slovenia’s Bine Prepelic. Their scuffle, too, happened in the second quarter, with just minutes left.
As Zamora’s teammate drove into the paint to make a layup, Prepelic attempted to strip him off the ball. While his attempt did not come off exactly the way he would have wanted, it led to a scuffle under the rim. The two players attempted to grab the ball from each other, resulting in a non-shooting foul on the Prepelic. The ball was taken out of bounds after this play, reassuring Prepelic’s effort to stop two easy points.
