Stephen Curry is one of the best basketball players to ever step foot on an NBA court. In his illustrious career, Steph has won 4-NBA Championships and 2 MVP trophies. There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors legend will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame when it is all said and done. But basketball is not the only sport that Chef Curry has conquered. Turns out, he can cook his opponents on the golf course as well. He won the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in July and defied 12,500:1 Odds to sink a hole-in-one during his amazing run.

Months before making one of the most improbable shots in Lake Tahoe, Steph’s father, Dell Curry revealed the Baby-Faced Assassin’s weakness that stopped him from pursuing a career in MLB.

Retired NBA player and Steph’s father, Dell Curry was a guest on the Pure Athlete Podcast earlier this year. He revealed that apart from basketball and golf, the 4-time Champion also tried his hands on baseball as a kid. “They wanted to play all sports.” Steph’s father said, talking about his three children. Dell remembered an instance when Steph was playing both AAU baseball and basketball simultaneously. As both tournaments fell in consecutive weeks, Dell had to fly with his son from Kansas to Orlando. “Son we can’t do this anymore.” The Charlotte legend told his son after the busy schedule of managing two sports.

Chef Curry also found out that he had a major weakness in his game that would hinder his growth in baseball. “He found out he couldn’t hit a curveball at the 13 and under AAU level, so he just decided on basketball and golf.” Dell revealed. Knowing Stephen Curry’s competitive nature, he probably would have worked on his game to get better at baseball but decided to pursue basketball and golf instead.
