If anyone had any doubts about Serbian superstar Nikola Jokic and his basketball skills, the Denver Nuggets superstar proved everyone wrong a few months ago. He helped the Nuggets win their first-ever NBA title beating the Miami Heat in 2023. His immense basketball IQ and routine have helped Jokic become one of the best players in the league now.
Recently, his title-winning teammate Aaron Gordon was in Serbia during the NBA offseason. During a recent interview, Gordon revealed some interesting details about the 28-year-old’s routine.

The league is not ready for Nikola Jokic
It looks like the rest of the NBA is in deep trouble. The Joker already has 2 MVP titles and an NBA title to his name at 28-years-old. As per Gordon, NBA fans around the world are yet to see the best version of the Serbian.

“He’s the best player in the world. He works out like a monster. His regimen, his diet, and how detail-oriented he is with his body, are second to none”, said Gordon. Moreover, the Nuggets star also revealed how Jokic is yet to reach his ceiling. “He’s only 28. So he’s going to get even smarter at manipulating the defense [and] offense. I don’t see anybody stopping him. They still haven’t found the answer for him yet”, said Gordon as per Eurohoops.

He was with Jokic, touring the country of Serbia ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season. Gordon visited the city of Sombor, which happens to be Jokic’s hometown and was enthralled with the culture and the people residing there.
Jokic seems to not care about basketball
Although The Joker is one of the best players in the world right now, he seems nonchalant about the sport. After winning his first-ever NBA title, Jokic didn’t seem too excited during the press conferences.

Moreover, he also seemed uninterested during the NBA Media Day. It seems like it comes from his way of life back home in Serbia. Aaron Gordon revealed that Sombor is a beautiful town with a lot of peace and tranquility. And those qualities reflect upon Jokic’s personality and game style on the court.
