Stephen Curry has forever transformed the basketball landscape with his three-point shooting prowess. However, his skill sets are not just limited to the realm of basketball. The Chef also has golfing abilities up his sleeve. And this is not a bluff; he has accolades to show for it as well. Earlier in the year, he was named the 2023 Ambassador of Golf. He then solidified his status as a pro after sinking an extraordinary 52-yard hole-in-one at a celebrity golf tournament. To top it off, he won the American Century Championship golf tournament, leading the competition with 44 points. In addition, he has also amassed an impressive handicap score of +1.3.

Legendary NBA star Dwyane Wade recently followed in Steph Curry’s footsteps and achieved an impressive feat himself. However, he recently dismissed the hype around his golfing milestone by describing it as a mere stroke of luck.

The three-time NBA champion and 13-time All-Star made a hole-in-one on the picturesque and far-from-easy par-3 7th hole at Pebble Beach. Not only was this his first hole-in-one, but what was even more remarkable was that he shot it at one of the top and most difficult golf courses. In the recent episode of the Point Forward podcast, Dwyane Wade sat down with Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner to discuss the details of his hole-in-one achievement. Although his golfing prowess was on full display during the shot, he humbly attributed his success to the benevolence of karma.

In a moment of reflection, he drew a comparison to Stephen Curry, remarking, “I’m just trying to be like Steph man, I’m trying to be good at life. When you good at life man, when you’re treating people the right way, it’s the karma of life. So at that moment, my karma was good, God stopped the world, and he said let me bless this young man right now to hit a hole-in-one on the seven-hole at Pebble Beach”.

He further continued to detail his feelings after he sank the hole-in-one: “You know how hard golf is and to hit a lucky shot like that, man, the world stopped for about five minutes”. Wade’s admiration for Stephen Curry is palpable in his remarks about him. Wade even went so far as to pick him over Magic Johnson in the point guard debate.
