Ever since Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and their Warriors started to lift championships, the league?s landscape changed. Now people want to be like Curry. They want to shoot from far; they want to shoot with a hand in their face, and they want to shoot with a defender flying over them. This revolution in basketball has brought to the foreground many brilliant shooters.
Nikola Jokic as a Center has revolutionized the game in many ways too as a stretch-five. But his teammate is an even bigger sniper from deep.?

The Denver Nuggets are one of the best shooting teams in the league. Last season, their three-pointers made per game were not even in the top ten. But they can still shoot the lights out. They were the fourth-best in terms of the three-point percentage, dialing on close to 38%.
One of the main reasons why they were successful from the deep was because of defensive phenom Michael Porter Jr. The Combo Forward made almost 25% of the total team threes when he was active last season.?
However, as per some fans, he doesn?t pass the ball much and fires away when he gets the ball. On his show Curious Mike, the Wing Shooter dived into why he doesn?t pass the rock and how he reacts watching his own made shots after the game.?
The “humble” Forward states, ?I?m aware of the little Michael ‘Never Swing the Rock’ Porter Jr. I don?t know who came up with that. To be completely honest, I?m one of the best shooters in the league, humbly like, like I don?t see contests.?

The Forward reveals getting overwhelmed by his shooting. He goes on, ?You might be watching me on TV, see me shoot a contested shot, but it doesn?t feel contested to me. After I watch it on film, I am like, yo, I shot that. But like when I catch the ball, unless I?m crowded, it?s probably going up. My teammates know that and they gonna tell me to shoot it, let it fly?.
While he has always been an elite defender, which helped him nab a five-year $179 million contract last year, there is a secret to Porter Jr?s ascension as a long-range bomber.
He has learned from the best
MPJ has religiously watched Stephen Curry go all out in his workouts. Since he has practiced with him in the summer, he has seen the work that he puts in to be who he is. Talking to Taylor Rooks, he revealed that Stephen Curry?s ?conditioning is his best attribute. And that?s what I pick from him.?

Watching Curry nail it all first-hand has what brought the big shooting gains for the incredible Forward. He may not pass the ball much, but he doesn?t need to when he is playing with a playmaker like Jokic.
