Charlotte Hornets center Kai Jones’s recent assertions have garnered a barrage of criticism from fans and analysts. Amid all the noise, Kai Jones has received another blow as Michael Jordan‘s ex-team dropped a massive bombshell on the 2021 first-round pick.

According to Roderick Boone and Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer, Kai Jones’ status on the team is “murky” ahead of the training camp that will get underway in October. The 2021 first-round pick has been a no-show during the voluntary sessions for players.

Jones has been making the headlines for his outlandish social media activity. Following that, all players on the Hornets roster have unfollowed him. He caught flak for claiming to be better than his teammates and also some NBA legends, including 6-time NBA champion Michael Jordan.

While claiming to be better than basketball greats, LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neil, Kai dragged Michael Jordan into the fray. He wrote, ?Bro I hit middy better than Mike [Michael Jordan]?. In addition, his bizarre behavior during a recent IG Live has left the Hornets concerned.

Kai Jones has received yet another round of criticism from fans

This revelation about him possibly not being on the Hornets roster has gained a lot of traction, resulting in hilarious responses from fans. One user referred to the recent video of him dancing, where his walls were filled with crayon scribbling to justify the decision.

Another user trolled him for being too active on socials instead of preparing for the upcoming season.

One user mentioned his incredible dunk over the generational prospect Victor Wembanyama in the Summer League debut, while also predicting the end of his NBA career.

Another user had a similar opinion on Kai’s career in the NBA.
