The GOAT debate is one that has been going on for ages. And rarely have fans been able to agree on one player. For the majority of the time, Michael Jordan was considered the greatest to ever play the game. Then it was Kobe Bryant whose name was thrown into the mix. However, one prominent name that has been linked to MJ is none other than LeBron James.
And the debate has been sparked once again by none other than LeBron James’ longtime agent, Rich Paul. So, what did these two analysts have to say about Paul picking LBJ over Mike?

Over the past decade or so, the two names that have been mentioned the most in the GOAT debate are none other than Michael Jordan and LeBron James. While many prominent analysts go with MJ as the GOAT, Rich Paul went with LeBron James.
Rich Paul had recently made an appearance on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast. That is where he said, “LeBron is the first player to have to deal with a 24/7 news cycle of sports.”
He went on to add, “I just think LeBron’s antlers is in platinum and Michael’s may be in gold. Why? Because when you think about it, he had to be compared to Mike. Who did Mike have to be compared to?”
This audio clip was played once again by Chris Broussard and Rob Parker on their podcast, The Odd Couple. And Broussard did not waste any time in clearing out the air as to who they think is the GOAT on their channel.
Chris Broussard went on to say, “Anybody who listens to us knows we’ve got Jordan as the GOAT. We’ve got LeBron as number two, both of us.”

He did agree with the fact that James played in an era where he was one of the most scrutinized players in the league. But that point wasn’t enough for him to consider James being better than Jordan.
