Luka Doncic walked into the locker room amid a neck-to-neck battle. The 14th-seeding Washington Wizards kept the home side on their feet with its offensive brilliance. Despite a combined effort from Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Mavs continued to trail by 10 points. On top of it, the team also had an injury scare.
Around the 3:20 mark in the third quarter, Doncic walked off the court to the locker room. A report suggested that the star had sustained a back injury. While the tension took over the Mavs’ bench, it was soon cleared when the star walked back in. He again clocked back with 1:30 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

The Mavs already had both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on their injury report ahead of the Monday night clash. Doncic had a broken nose and Irving suffered with a right thumb sprain, and ended up in the Probables. Eventually both the players made it to the game tonight.
The home team had a difficult time controlling the offensive out pour of the Wizards side. For a while, it seemed like the Wizards took easily take the game away from the Mavs. Kyle Kuzma and Deni Avdija put up a brilliant show to keep the points rolling.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Irving spearheaded the Mavs’ chase with brilliant play making, supported by Doncic and Daniel Gafford. However, at one point when Luka Magic stepped out for a brief moment, it seemed like the game would entirely slip away from the Mavs’ hand.

The Mavs stepped into the fourth quarter with a 10 point deficit. While the Wizards were expected to continue their domination, it was the Mavs, who strangled their offense. The Mavs defense let the visitors score only 8 points in their first seven minutes. Meanwhile, the Mavs offense picked their pace up and chased down the lead. Luka spearheaded the fourth quarter offense, dropping 9 points and helping the team win the game a 104-112 margin.

Moreover, the Mavs coach Jason Kidd also dropped an update on Luka’s nose injury. He said, “He will be fine… We are a physical team… Luka is currently taking couple of hits, he got stitches. He will be fine.
