The Dallas Mavericks finally have Luka Doncic back in their starting lineup, and it shows. After missing out on the matchup against the Rockets, the Slovenian All-Star was back for the Mavs in the game against the San Antonio Spurs. And just like that, Doncic was back to making headlines and setting records for the team.

Achieving yet another triple-double, Luka Doncic went on to talk about the milestones he has achieved. And the ones he will be achieving, all the while giving flowers to the Lakers All-Star forward, LeBron James. James is next-in-line when it comes to the triple-double record.

One of the reporters told him, “With that assist, gets you within 130-point triple-double with LeBron. What does a milestone like that mean to you with what LeBron means to you?”

That is when Doncic said, “I mean, obviously a lot. We all know who he is, and what he’s doing. He’s in his 21st year in the NBA which is unbelievable. So, it means a lot.”

After his most recent performance, Doncic not only inched closer to LeBron James but was able to surpass James Harden on the list as well. With the way Doncic has been playing, he may set an NBA or at least a franchise record.

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks had no problems taking care of the San Antonio Spurs in their most recent meeting. The 25-point margin win just goes to show that even without Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks can take care of business.

Given that the Spurs did not have Victor Wembanayama in their lineup, the stat-sheet-stuffing performance put up by Luka Doncic was something to behold. Doncic had 39 points for the game.

He also paired that with 12 rebounds and 10 assists, along with 1 block and 1 steal for the game. Apart from Doncic, six other players finished in double-digits, including the rest of the starters and two players off the bench.
