The Bucks put an end to the Houston Rockets‘ five-game winning streak on Sunday through a dominating 128-119 win, but this is the least of the problems the Rockets have on their plates currently. With fairly new coach Ime Udoka on board, they might be having a tough time strategizing the team’s roster and success.
Adding to this chaos was the ejection of Dillon Brooks and Udoka during the final seconds of the losing match against the Bucks after a heated exchange with the officials. Keeping this in mind, former Lakers star Lou Williams has broken down the “crisis” that the Rockets are having and has a piece of advice for both the ejected Rockets members.
They have to chill out

Lou says that the team is not having an identity crisis, rather, they are trying to create one. He says, “I think they’re trying to find what it is that this team is gonna be labeled as and what the reputation that they’re gonna have around this league.” Lou’s message to Ime and Dillon Brooks, who were ejected from Sunday’s game is that they need to walk the talk, “Ya’ll gotta chill out because you gotta win games to carry yourself that way.”

While Lou notices that Udoka wants to toughen up his team and create the identity of a young basketball team, his advice to him is to take it slow and materialize that vision to success. He adds, “And if they were winning a few more games, this’ll probably be a gloss over like you know, this’ll probably be something that would be positively covered. But because success doesn’t come with that, we’re looking at them crazy.”
Let’s take a look at the Sunday situation that led to two ejections from the Rockets.

Toward the final moments of Sunday’s game vs the Bucks, the Rockets were trying to catch up to a 125-116 deficit. Brooks intercepted a pass from the Bucks’s forward Khris Middleton and threw the ball back toward the court to prevent an out-of-bounds call only to be retrieved by the Bucks’ Pat Connaughton who passed it to another teammate.
Before anything else could play out, a whistle was blown and Brooks received a tech foul. He wasn’t having any of it because when he initially chased the ball out of bounds, Middleton had made contact with him, forcing him outside the line. Brooks argued that Middleton should have been the one with a foul, and went after the referee fighting his cause; he was immediately ejected. Udoka stepped up for his player and had a heated exchange with the officials, getting himself ejected as well.
