Locker Room Rumour Proves Stephen Curry’s POTUS Tenure Will Be Shorter Than John F Kennedy

When one hears the name Stephen Curry, the first thing that comes to mind is his incredible career with the Golden State Warriors, not necessarily his potential as a political figure. For fans of the NBA, and Steph in particular, watching him run for the presidency almost seems unimaginable. However, Stephen Curry has set his sights on a new challenge after conquering the NBA.

In a recent interview with CBS, Stephen Curry outlined his political ambitions. He said, “I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can… So, if politics is a way that you can create meaningful change or if there’s another way outside politics that we can do.” Curry’s remarks have pleasantly surprised several fans. However, some people have raised doubts about whether he possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in politics.

Co-host of the Come and Talk 2 Me podcast Mase and Cameron fall in the latter category. During a conversation on the podcast, Cameron questioned Stephen Curry’s leadership qualities. He said, “Steph Curry don’t even want to talk in the locker room, let alone the country… I think Steph the kind of person that become president and be like, ‘Nah I’m good. This sh*t is wild.’” Mase interjected and said, “Quit like after a year. It was too much, I’m out of here.” 

If Stephen Curry ever becomes the President, and Mase’s prediction comes true, then Steph’s reign as the POTUS would be one of the shortest. Curry’s term would be even shorter than John F Kennedy’s two-year reign, which lasted from 1961 to 1963. Kennedy’s term ended because he was assassinated in Dallas by Lee Harvey Oswald. Despite doubts from some quarters, Stephen Curry may have the political acumen to succeed as a politician. After all, Curry shares a mutually respectful and cordial relationship with former President Barack Obama.

Steph has known Barack Obama for quite a while now. Curry has had the honor of visiting the White House on two occasions with the Golden State Warriors, following their NBA championship victories in 2015 and 2022. Stephen Curry even participated in a government advertisement with Barack Obama in 2016, which was aptly named “The Mentorship.”

In 2017, Curry honored Obama by sporting the Curry 3 “POTUS” sneaker during a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Martin Luther King Day. Stephen Curry even had the honor of interviewing Obama in 2020, after the release of Obama’s memoir, the Promised Land. During the interview, the 44th President of the United States and Curry discussed several topics like leadership, the upbringing of their children, and fatherhood.
