Stoking the wrath of the home team’s fans can be a risky move. While you may think of it as a joke and brush it off, that may not be the case for the fans. And you especially do not risk it when they have just had a disappointing loss.

But tonight, it seemed like Dallas Mavericks forward, Grant Williams was willing to try it. His decision to wear the opponent team’s jersey was met with mostly angry reactions from fans online. To give a background, the Dallas Cowboys played against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. The Cowboys lost 23-28 and while the fans were already upset, Grant Williams added more fuel to the fire.

On Sunday night, the Dallas Mavericks crushed the Charlotte Hornets with a 124-118 victory. The Houston native arrived for the post-game press conference with a Philadelphia Eagles jersey, with Jason Kelce’s name on the back.

And fans of Dallas did not approve of it. Some fans called for the outright removal of the player from the team.

Averaging 15.0 points with 5.0 rebounds, the power forward can shoot 51.1 % from the field. And this, some fans claimed, was the only reason they would let this pass by.
