“Let Curry Drop 82”: Dub Nation Blasts Coach Kerr for Benching Stephen Curry after Blissful Start vs Pacers

Stephen Curry went off tonight at Indianapolis. Stepping into the arena with 3 wins from the last four games, The Golden State Warriors looked to end their road trip on a high. And Steph laid the perfect platform for it. The 35-year-old, who had cooled off game against the Philadelphia 76ers, turned up the heat, right from the word get go. Meanwhile, when the fans took the pleasure out of it, Steve Kerr played the spoil sport by benching Curry.

Klay Thompson-less Dubs took on the court and the Baby-faced Assassin didn’t make his Splash Bro’s absence. He dropped 6-6 three pointers in the first quarter, making a quick fire 18 points in the first quarter. Right when the fans expected the superstar to go further in the quarter, Kerr pulled him out and replaced him with Brandin Podziemski around 3 minutes on the clock.

 Since Stephen Curry‘s first quarter blow-up came in during the Kobe Bryant Day (2/8/24), fans wanted Curry to beat Mamba’s high score.

Nevertheless, Steph didn’t stop his blow-up business in the second quarter. Even though he sat most of it on the bench, he came back in late to balloon up lead and put pressure on the Indiana Pacers.

Steph clocked back in the game with 7 minutes left on the second quarter and the Dubs held a 5 point lead. He dropped 11 points in his time, and expanded the lead to 12 points. Importantly, he registered 29 points, still a long way to drop 82 points.
