The Detroit Pistons’ misery continues. Cade Cunningham and Co. extended their abysmal losing streak to 27 games after tonight’s loss. The Brooklyn Nets dominated the Pistons and won the game 118-112. Cade Cunningham had another monster performance, going off for 41 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. But that was not enough to snap the Pistons’ horrific streak. The Pistons are now one loss shy of tying the longest losing streak in NBA history.

However, the Pistons’ 27-game losing streak has not deterred Detroit fans from filling the arena in each game. Pistons’ legend and 2-time Champion Isiah Thomas took pride in “Detroit Love” amid Cade Cunningham and Co.’s recent struggles.

Pistons fans filled the Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit to support their team amid their 27-game losing streak. Pistons’ legend Isiah Thomas was ecstatic to see the fans supporting Cade Cunningham and Co. despite their struggles and showered love on social media. Thomas shared a video of the jam-packed arena on X and wrote, “Let it be known. #DetroitLove” Isiah is arguably the greatest player in the Pistons franchise history. He played in Detroit for 13 years from 1981 to 1994 and led the Pistons to back-to-back titles in 1989 and 1990.

Isiah Thomas made the All-Star team 12 times in his 13-year career, and he was one of the best players of his era. Those were the Golden Days for the Detroit Pistons. Decades later, the Pistons are struggling to even register a single regular season win. Despite Cade Cunningham averaging 22.4 points and 7.1 assists, the Pistons could not put an end to their losing streak.

They might soon break a record they do not wish to.

Detroit Pistons might make history for all the wrong reasons

The Detroit Pistons are currently the worst team in the NBA, with a 2-28 record. They might soon register their name in the history books for all the wrong reasons. The Pistons are one game away from tying the longest losing streak in NBA history. The record is currently held by the Philadelphia 76ers with a 28-game losing streak from the 2014-15 season through the 2015-16 season. The Sixers lost the final 10 games of the 2014-15 regular season and opened the following season with a 0-18 record.

The Detroit Pistons will face the number 1 team in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics in the next game. So, it is very likely that they will tie Philadelphia’s 28-game losing streak. Cade Cunningham and Co. will need a miracle and all the support from their fans to keep their name off the history books.
