LeBron James’ Simple “Excuse” to See 16-Year-Old Savannah Minutes After First Date Assured Future NBA Legend’s Love

In 2003, LeBron James was a high school basketball phenom. There was so much hype surrounding LeBron James that he was dubbed ‘the chosen one’ by Sports Illustrated even before stepping on an NBA court. LeBron was under constant pressure to perform day in and day out and it is safe to say King James fulfilled his tremendous potential. LeBron’s achievements have placed him on the Mount Rushmore of many basketball fans.

But before all the stardom, LeBron was just like any other kid. Playing and goofing around with friends. Savannah James recounted an incident that left many fans in awe of LeBron.

Teenage Love

LeBron James met his future wife, Savannah Brinson, when they were both students at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. They attended the same school, and their paths crossed during their high school years. LeBron was a basketball prodigy, already making headlines for his skills on the court, while Savannah was a cheerleader. They began dating when they were teenagers and have been together since.

Savannah James, in an interview, opened up about her relationship with LeBron. She recounted an incident that made sure that LeBron loved his wife. She said, “I knew he loved me when I left my leftovers from dinner in his car. I’d totally forgotten about them and he brought them to me”. Further adding, “I think he just wanted another excuse to come and see me”. Their relationship has stood the test of time and this year in September they will be celebrating their tenth marriage anniversary.

Power Couple

Their relationship has endured through LeBron’s incredible basketball career, and they got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2011. The couple married on September 14th, 2013, in a lavish ceremony in San Diego, California. They have three children together. Bronny (18) is the eldest, and he is following in his dad’s footsteps in becoming a basketball player. Bryce (16) is showing promising signs of becoming a top basketball player and the youngest of them all is Zhuri, who is just 8-years-old.

Savannah James is known for her philanthropic work through the LeBron James Family Foundation, and co-owns “The Juice Spot” store in Miami. We also know Savannah for her charitable work and community involvement. With LeBron, she started the LeBron James Family Foundation, which supports youth development and education. With LeBron being one of the most recognizable faces on the planet and Savannah working hard to uplift her community through charity and philanthropy. They both are the epitome of a Power Couple.
