The Blazers will host the Lakers tonight at the Moda Center for the in-season tournament game. The Lakers are coming off a 125-110 loss against the Kings on Wednesday, but they boast a 2-0 stat in the in-season tournament, leading Group A of the Western Conference. As they gear up for tonight’s game, there is uncertainty about LeBron James‘ appearance on the court.
Bron was questionable for Wednesday’s regular season game against the Kings, but he showed up and played for a remarkable 35 minutes. His injury dates back to the game against the Suns when Kevin Durant‘s knee made unintentional contact with Bron’s left shin, resulting in a left calf contusion. However, we can still expect him to play tonight.

There is a high probability of Bron playing tonight. However, it shouldn’t be a surprise if he doesn’t either, considering that they reduced his minutes for better recovery and to not push his body beyond the limits. If Bron shows up, he will resume his position as the small forward, Anthony Davis will take the center as usual, Russell and Taurean will play in the guard positions, and Reddish will be the power forward.
In the unlikely event that Bron doesn’t play tonight, Rui Hachimura will probably fill his role. On the injury list, we have Gabe Vincent (knee) and Jarred Vanderbilt (heel), who remain sidelined after missing quite a number of games. Gabe has been out for at least two weeks, and Jarred hasn’t played a single game so far in the season.

The ups and downs of the Lakers this season
The Lakers have been on a bumpy ride this season, standing at 6-6. They were enjoying a three-game winning streak until Wednesday’s loss at the hands of the Kings. The Blazers, on the other hand, have been struggling offensively this season. In the first regular season game they played against the Lakers on Monday, they suffered a 116-110 loss to the Laker Nation.
The Lakers have had an unfortunate string of injuries that happened in the initial stages of the season. Apart from Gabe and Jarred, Hachimura (concussion) and Taurean Prince (knee) also missed several games. Fortunately, they are now back on the roster while Gabe and Vanderbilt are showing positive signs of recovery. There are high chances that tonight will be a smooth win for the Lakers against the struggling Blazers, but let us leave that for the game to decide.
