As the days are numbered for the trade deadline, the drama surrounding it has picked up. Especially, in the case of Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray, it has definitely picked up. The Los Angeles Lakers have been looking to rope in the star since the start of the year. While an earlier report suggested that the LA side had dropped the proposal after failing to negotiate, a new report suggests another story. And, Murray doesn’t seem cheery about it, as he shared a cryptic post via his social media.

Evan Sidery, a reporter contributing to Forbes Sports, stated that there is a “sense of inevitability” on Murray’s trade to the Lakers. He also mentioned that the LA side potentially snubbed D’Angelo Russell for the trade.

Amid this trade report, Murray took to his IG to share pictures of him and his family. Moreover, the post also contained a cryptic caption. It read, “All This Social Media Sh*+ Don’t Matter. Make Sure You HAPPY In Real Life!!!! #RealOverFake.” While it isn’t clear what Murray intended with his post, it definitely collided with fake trade reports that loom over the NBA world.

Murray has been playing the role of second fiddle to Trae Young, he might get the call to play a similar role for LeBron James and Anthony Davis at Crypto.com Arena. Notably, the Hawks star’s stakes went up when he recently buried two back-to-back buzzer-beating game winners.

Apart from his clutch abilities, the star also holds an average of 21.4 points per game along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. On the other hand, D’Angelo Russell has only a 16.6 points average with 2 rebounds and 6 assists.
