The Los Angeles Lakers boast an unblemished 3-0 record in the in-season tournament. They will hope to sweep the Utah Jazz, whom they host tonight, to qualify for the knockout round. However, this victory might be difficult to come by since they have five players listed on the injury list. After struggling initially, the Lakers, led by LeBron James’ age-defying numbers, managed sixth place in the NBA Western Conference.
However, uncertainty looms over LeBron James‘ status for the game after he dropped 37 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists against the Houston Rockets.

In his 21st season, James continues to challenge the norm by playing over 38 minutes per game. Even at the age of 38, he is posting numbers akin to his prime. The Lakers tend to score notably more points when he is on the court, making his presence crucial for the team’s chances of securing a win. Unfortunately for Lakers fans, it appears that James may not be available for the upcoming contest. He is listed as ‘questionable’ on the injury report due to a left calf contusion.
After James erupted 37 points to help the Lakers secure a narrow 105-104 victory over the Rockets, he opened up about dealing with injuries and sickness simultaneously. He said, “I’m not feeling that great right now, dealing with a couple of injuries. A little under the weather right now.”
“I guess I’m just in a really good groove right now.”
