Let us take a walk down memory lane to 2007 when Kevin Durant was chosen as the second overall pick by the Seatle Supersoncis; the next season, the Supersonics relocated to Oklahoma City, changing their name to what we now know as the Thunders. Durant played with the OKC for eight seasons, during which he was able to carve out a name for himself in the big league.

In his rookie year, KD was named the ROTY. While he was still in Seattle, KD had already signed a deal with Nike as a rookie. As we now look back on his journey with Nike, it would be safe to say that he was pretty loyal to the brand, to the point of dissing other rival brands, as we have seen his most recent troll on Anthony Edwards’ Adidas signature shoes. We have uncovered an old tweet by KD himself, one that dates back to 2011!

Twelve years ago, on June 9th, 2011, KD did not hold back in making his point that his KD shoes were superior to any Adidas shoes. Short and crisp, his tweet read, “the kd’s better den any adidas signature shoe.. #fact” duhh everyone Kno that even speedy claxton over there.” For some reason, KD also drags Speedy Claxton into the scene. Claxton is an ex-NBA star, who had retired by the time KD posted the ‘tweet’ as it was known back then.

Oddly enough, one of the mentioned entities in the post was Karlton Hines; he is probably one of the biggest ‘could’ve been’ stories in the NBA; an excellent street baller who never made it big because he chose a different path. Well, it looks like KD always had a beef with the German brand which stems from his allegiance to Nike. Let’s take a look at his most recent Adidas diss.

KD would never put his feet in those M****

Anthony Edwards is ripping it in the Wolves as one of the top players on the team. On his way to greatness, he signed a deal with Adidas. Speaking on his debut sneakers the AE1s, ANT admits in a video uploaded on X that he would like to see KD wear his shoes in the game. KD snaps back by reposting it with the caption, “Won’t EVER see me put a big toe in them M*****f***ers.”

The message is very clear and it looks like KD is not about betraying his brand anytime soon, a relationship that began in 2007 and is going strong to this day. Since 2007, their collaboration has produced 15 signature shoes with another one on the way.
