The Los Angeles Clippers just suffered a heartbreaking loss to their main rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. After having a strong start to the game with all their stars in form, the ending surely was a disappointment for Clippers’ fans. However, head coach Tyronn Lue still managed to take out the positives from their loss.

Even though the Clippers lost a close game to the Lakers, Tyronn Lue was still happy about one thing. And that was one of his star players playing big minutes in back-to-back games at the start of this season.

Tyronn Lue was glad about Kawhi Leonard’s minutes

The Los Angeles Lakers held their own against the Clippers, taking them down with a final score of 130-125. All the Lakers? star players performed exceptionally after the Clippers squad almost blew them out in the first half of the game.

With the final buzzer awarding the victory to the Lakers, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue was happy about one thing, Kawhi Leonard playing big minutes. After the game, Ty Lue said, ?Kawhi playing 41 minutes in a back-to-back was huge.?

Since he arrived in Los Angeles, Kawhi Leonard has been in a constant battle with injuries. And that has kept him off the court for a substantial amount of time. In the past three regular seasons, Leonard has not played over 60 games for the team.

So, for him to start this season strong, along with playing major minutes is a good sign. Any coach would be ecstatic to see their star player healthy and playing major minutes every game.
