Former teammates turned rivals, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, found themselves in the middle of a furious argument. The trash-talking brawl began after the Clippers won a free throw and Russell Westbrook was seen instigating the Suns’ center Jusuf Nurkic saying, “What you say you gonna do? Shut your a** up” Listening to this Nurkic got instigated and clapped back with a hilarious response saying, “That’s why they got you on the bench.”

Russ did not take this nicely and started abusing him saying, “Turn around you sorry motherf****r”. Now listening to his teammate getting abused, Kevin Durant entered the picture.

The 2x NBA champion saw his former teammate abusing his current teammate and told Nurkic “Aye, that b***h can’t talk to you like that.” Westbrook heard what KD said and responded to him asking “The f**k are you talking about?” To which KD said, “No, I know you ain’t talking”. But Westbrook continued with the trash-talking and said, “You know I’m the right one,” to Durant, to which he laughed at him and said, “You ain’t like that slim.”

After the match ended, the Clippers secured a dominating 131-111 victory against the Suns. However, the 13x All-Star went on social media to talk about the trash-talking issue. He wrote a tweet saying, “It’s too early for negativity and violence,” to which a fan sarcastically said “You think?” and KD affirmatively answered her saying, “I kno.” 

This encounter between Westbrook and Durant provided a look into their fiery competitive attitude. Not only that it reminded the fans about their on-court interactions since their days as Oklahoma City Thunder teammates. This heated back-and-forth revealed the talented players’ raw emotions and outspoken attitude on the court.
