Brandon Ingram, the 6?8? forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, is one of the most talented players in the league. Despite having a great NBA career, he is finding it difficult to find his rhythm in the FIBA World Cup. His recent performance in FIBA particularly has been disappointing. The US team?s lineup is full of star talent and this time it is Ingram who is hoping to shine in the tournament. He has been vocal about his struggles. He openly talked about the differences in the FIBA game and what he is accustomed to in the NBA.

Ingram talks about his disappointment with his poor performance??

Ingram struggled a lot in his recent performance against New Zealand. In the match, he only scored 2 points by taking 4 just shots in the 15 minutes. Even in the exhibition and warm-up games, his poor performance persisted as he only averaged 7.8 points per game.

In an interview, he openly expressed his frustration, saying, ?This is totally different than what I am used to,?. Despite his off performances now, he had a successful season with the Pelicans. He averaged his highest 24.7 points per game. He continued to say, ?The team(US) is winning right now, so I can?t be selfish thinking about myself. But it?s a little frustrating right now for me, and I?m just trying to figure out ways I can be effective.?

Despite these struggles, a fellow NBA star from Minnesota, Anthony Edwards, showed his support for the upcoming matches. He said, ?He gets paid the big bucks; he?s one of the best players in the NBA,? Edwards continued. ?He?s a superstar in the league, so he can figure it out on his own, but it?s nothing like somebody staying your ear. ? So just keep talking to him, ?cause a couple shots might not go his way.?.

Coach Steve Kerr also assured him of a change in fortunes going ahead in FIBA. He first recognized that ?Nothing has really gone his way,?. The thing I?ve learned with FIBA is every night belongs to someone new.?
