And LeBron has credited his mother, Gloria James, for his success throughout his Hall of Fame career. King James showers love on his mother every time he gets a chance. So, when Gloria James celebrated her 56th birthday this Sunday, LeBron made the day extra special by celebrating it with her.

The Kid from Akron also shared some moments from his mother’s special day on Instagram and wrote a heartfelt message. “Happy Birthday My Heaven Sent Angel!! 🐐 James 🐐 James yeah that’s you!!! Thank you for everything and more mama! Love you ♾️ and beyond!! 🤎🤎🤎🤎✨✨✨✨✨✨” LeBron wrote with a picture of Gloria and him celebrating her 56th birthday. The 39-year-old gifted his mother a giant bouquet, the photo of which he also shared on Instagram.

LeBron and Gloria have been each other’s support system ever since LeBron was born. Gloria James had LeBron when she was only 16 years old. She was a single mother and raised LeBron with some support from her mother, Freda James Howard. Unfortunately, Freda passed away due to a sudden heart attack when LeBron was only 3 years old. Gloria raised LeBron on her own after her mother’s passing and had to move multiple houses to make ends meet. Gloria decided to send LeBron to a foster home with his then-football coach, Frank Walker, so that he could have a stable upbringing. However, it all turned out great for LeBron and Gloria as he became one of the best players in the NBA and turned their life around.

LeBron James ended his mother’s struggles

Having been raised by a single mother, LeBron went through a lot of hardships as a child.
