The Indiana Pacers have arguably been one of the surprise packages of the 2023-24 season. Few people expected a Tyrese Haliburton-led Pacers to compete for a guaranteed playoff spot. But here we are in mid-February, and the Pacers find themselves occupying the 6th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Their squash-buckling brand of basketball has blown many opponents out of the water.
They face the New York Knicks in their next match later tonight. However, fans of the Pacers face an anxious wait, as the availability of star-man Tyrese Haliburton remains unclear for tonight’s game against the Knicks.

The game between the Knicks and the Pacers is scheduled to tip-off by 7:30 PM, Eastern Time at Madison Square Garden in New York. The game promises to be an enthralling watch, as two Eastern Conference rivals face each other during a crucial juncture of the season. However, the Pacers could be without Tyrese Haliburton for the game. Indiana have listed Haliburton as questionable due to a hamstring issue. Apart from Tyrese, the Pacers have also listed Jalen Smith as questionable because of a back problem. While the Pacers have most of their key players fit and ready for tonight’s match, the same can’t be said about the Knicks. Injuries have severely decimated the Knicks roster. Key players like Julius Randle (elbow), OG Anunoby (elbow) and Mitchell Robinson have all faced extended periods on the sideline. Furthermore, the Knicks have also listed Jalen Brunson as questionable because of an ankle injury. Isaiah Hartenstein will also miss tonight’s match due to a sore left Achilles.

Predicted Lineups: Knicks vs Pacers
The New York Knicks go into the game with a heavily depleted roster. However, they still possess the talent to punish the Pacers if Indiana takes them lightly. The upcoming game against the Pacers may mark the debut of the Knicks’ recent trade deadline acquisitions, Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks. The Knicks could begin the game with Donte DiVincenzo, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Precious Achiuwa and Jerricho Sims.

After a frantic trade deadline, the Pacers added further depth by acquiring Doug McDermott from the Spurs. However, they also traded away Buddy Hield to the Sixers. But with Haliburton and Pascal Siakam leading the team, the Pacers have a solid foundation to build a roster capable of contending for the title. They could start the game with Tyrese Haliburton, Benedict Mathurin, Aaron Nesmith, Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner.
