The Minnesota Timberwolves kicked off their 2023-24 NBA campaign with a dominating win in the preseason opener against Dallas Mavericks. Even though the stars on either side didn’t stay long on the court, they definitely made an impact. Especially, Luka Doncic and Karl-Anthony Towns. To top it, Towns started off the game with a three pointer. Moreover, he didn’t stop his rampage only the court, he took it off the court as well, roasting a fan on internet.
The Wolves seemed a balanced side, despite the absence of Anthony Edwards, who missed out on the game due to an ankle injury. Towns alongside Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels produced a blow out start, keeping the lead constantly above 20 points, almost throughout the game. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Mavericks struggled to get a bucket throughout the first quarter. However, Doncic stood up to his reputation dropping 25 points in 17 minutes of game time.

In response to that, Towns gave a savage reply to the fan. He said, “I was excited. I’m in an NBA game, you’re tweeting from home. I’m not worried about that,” with a smile. Notably, that post game interview was from a close regular season against the Atlanta Hawks. With only 7 seconds left in the clock.
