Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving soiled Victor Wembanyama‘s median outing in the NBA. While his 15-point outburst left veterans impressed. Luka Donicic exploded in the deep end of the 4th quarter to secure a six-point victory for the Dallas Mavericks. Despite trailing behind the Spurs, the entire first half, Luka Magic, worked in the clutch for the Mavericks. This led to Wemby having an opportunity to experience his “welcome to the NBA” moment.

After the game, Kai shared an inspirational message on social commemorating their first dub in the regular season. Interestingly, the photo that accompanied the one-line encapsulated the NBA experience for the 7’4 Rookie.

In a recent post on Twitter shared by MavsMuse, we can see the 19-year-old sandwiched between Luka and Kai with a nervous expression. Irving retweeted the photo with only a single word “Tribe”.

Kyrie Irving had an impressive outing today, adding 22 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, and a steal. On the other hand, the Rookie had an impressive debut in the NBA, scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block. Interestingly, those 15 points came from only 9 field goal attempts out of which he made 6. While he attempted 5 from beyond the arc and made three, the Rookie’s first showcase case has him at 66.7 in field goal percentage in only 23 minutes of playtime.

Leading the offense for the Spurs were Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell. Sochan Scored 13 points while Vassell was the top scorer for San Antonio with 23 points. With the inclusion of Wembanymama in the line-up, Greg Popovich and Co seemed in a much better spot than last year. However, it wasn’t enough to stop the force that was Luka Doncic.

Wemby scored 9 of his 15 points in the last seven minutes of the game until the very end it was pretty close. However, the Mavs forced two turnovers in the end, tipping the game in their favor. Luka shined through with a 33-point,? 10 assists, and 12 rebound triple-double. Outscoring everybody on either of the teams, playing 34 minutes with a 52-field goal percentage.

Grant Williams also added 17 points significantly, aiding Dallas to the triumph. Despite losing his first game, the 7’4 rookie shows glimpses of being a threat on both ends of the floor. Fans are waiting for the Spurs’ offense to flow through him and the result might just be phenomenal.
