During the offseason in Los Angeles, Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin trained alongside the 5 time All-Star. The NBA shared a video of their intense workout at Loyola Marymount University. Mathurin mentioned their connection came through their shared trainer – Charlie Torres. Torres has previously worked with various NBA players, including Kelly Oubre, Derrick Williams, Mathurin, and Thompson.

During training camp, Indiana’s second-year guard discussed the benefits he derived from those workouts. They questioned him last Wednesday about his experiences in the gym with one of the greatest shooters in history. “Man, Klay Thompson is an amazing player. His shooting pockets are different, so obviously getting that from him,” the 21-year-old said. He further added, “His shot is always the same. He knows if he misses left, the reason why.”
