The second overall pick in the 2010 draft, Evan Turner was an assistant coach with the Celtics. He has seen the Celtics suffer at the hands of the ex-Bucks star time and time again. But will the Portland Trail Blazers make it easy for the defensive savant?

Portland has received some nice talents from the Damian Lillard trade. Jrue Holiday is the coveted one, and Jrue?s success with his former team was his on-court sync with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Can Portland create the same magic with their new Centre?

That?s why he had to call out Evan Turner for wanting Portland to buy out Jrue Holiday so that he could join with the Boston Celtics. That would make the Celtics a defensive juggernaut, as they have other important offensive pieces that could give them the power to contend for the title.

The Celtics relied on Marcus Smart for his defense and as well as his crunch-time 3-point shooting abilities. Losing him in the trade makes them look for options with the team. Jrue Holiday checks all those boxes, and he will be an exceptional asset in the postseason.

Will Portland Dismantle The Team

Damian Lillard moving out of the Portland Trail Blazers team will make them look to acquire a legitimate superstar. They need a franchise player to build around, and it could be Scoot Henderson, but he is just a rookie. With DeAndre Ayton?s history, the Portland front office will not be too encouraged to keep Jrue Holiday on the team, if they don?t see a glorious future ahead. That?s why Evan Turner?s comments take precedence.
