Heat Announcers’ Bizarre Blunder Involving Andrew Wiggins, Warriors, and Celtics Sends Fans In Hysteria

The Miami Heat announcer confidently made a blunder error tonight at Kaseya Center. The Golden State Warriors‘ struggling forward Andrew Wiggins had a great first half, dropping 15 points and 5 rebounds. Speaking of him, one of the announcers made an outrageous error about the 2022 Finals stats. It was too late before he decided to correct himself and the internet already went haywire with reactions.

During the final few minutes of the first half, the announcer said, “Andrew Wiggins the man who averaged 18 points and 9 rebounds in the 2022 NBA finals which the Warriors lost to the Celtics.” While he got Wiggins’ stats right, he went the opposite direction with the game result. He almost snatched a ring away from Stephen Curry.

In response to this, fans swarmed the comments sections with hilarious downpour. One of them questioned the commentator’s state of mind recalling the Warriors’ hard-to-miss 103–90 win.

While a section of fans dropped hilarious reactions to the announcer’s mistake, certain fans took a dig at Andrew Wiggins. The 2014 #1 pick played a crucial role in the 2022 Finals to help the Kerr-Curry combo win their fourth ring. However, after that season, Wiggins was nowhere to be seen to contribute to the team’s offense.

The 29-year-old averaged 17.2 points in 2022, and he missed close to 50 games in the next season. In the persisting one, the average points have dropped down to 12.7 and forced Steve Kerr to look for other options. At the same time, he has also shown sprouts of consistency in the last few games, averaging close to 15 points.

On the other hand, the announcers have repeatedly made errors on live TV, and almost all the time, they correct their mistakes.
