The Dallas Mavericks had a blowout victory vs the Sacramento Kings tonight! Dallas cut no corners as they crushed the Kings 132-96. But what has become viral on social media is something Luka Doncic said. His comment about his teammate Kyrie Irving is absolutely wholesome.
Irving received the ‘Batman’ moniker quite a long time back. His love for the Marvel superhero has also contributed to it becoming popular. But it seems that Doncic is also in love with the whole shebang. He compared himself to Robin to Irving’s Batman. The NBA on TNT X account tweeted the adorable video.
“He’s the Batman, I’m the Robin,” Doncic said. “It’s just amazing man, everything on our team is amazing. Outside basketball, he’s just a great person and we all get along so well. The chemistry is really good right now.”

Well, the results do show that Luka is speaking the truth. Dallas is on a five-game winning streak and ranks 6th in the West with a 43-29 record. He led the game in scoring with 28 points, scoring 26 of them in the first half alone. The Slovenian guard also had 11 rebounds and six assists for the night. Irving followed right behind with 24 points – the second-highest score of the game, along with eight assists and three rebounds.
For the Kings, Keegan Murray led the team with 17 points. But Domantas Sabonis hit another double-double, keeping his position as No. 1 for the most double-doubles and triple-doubles this season. He has 324 double-doubles in his career, while the triple-doubles come to a total of 57. The Lithuanian-American did in fact come close to a triple-double tonight – 12 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.
With just 10 games left for the playoffs, Luka Doncic might just be back in the MVP race.

The Dallas Mavericks have had a terrible season, at least for most of the first half, marred with injuries. But looking at them right now, it would be hard to believe that was the case. While the Mavs have truly shown what can happen when the team plays with one mind, Doncic’s consistent heroics are a major factor in their resurgence.
There is no doubt that Luka Doncic is unlike any player the NBA world has ever seen. His international accolades should have been enough material to prepare us and yet, the Slovenian guard continues to surprise the entire world in ways previously unattempted. The 5x All-Star is on his way to becoming the first player in league history to average 33.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 9.8 assists during a season.

“Robin” leads the league in scoring, and quite efficiently too – 48.7% overall and 37.4% from downtown. The team, for its part, is thriving too. Dallas is 9-1 in the last 10 games; the only loss coming against the OKC and Doncic was out that night. But with “Luka-magic” in play, the Mavs are 10-0 in the past 10 games.
So, what do you think Luka’s chances are this season? Will he finally get his first MVP? Let us know what you think!
