The NBA regular season is going on in full swing, bringing with it lots of expected and unexpected moments. The Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most successful teams in the league, are currently struggling to make a mark as they find themselves being placed as the 9 seed on the Western Conference Points table. Despite the best efforts of NBA stalwart LeBron James and team coach Darvin Ham, the Lakers are facing stiff competition and haven’t managed to pull show any real desire to clinch a playoff spot. That was until last night.
The Lakers recently faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Crypto.com Arena in LA. Many fans believed that the latter would face no problem in emerging victorious, since they are currently placed as the 4 seed on the Western Conference Table. The belief continued to stay strong as the game entered it’s 4 quarter. With only 11 minutes and 45 seconds left, however, LeBron James took the charge and made an astonishing comeback, defeating James Harden and company by 4 points.
During the post-game press conference, when asked about what occurred during the 4 quarter, Darvin Ham replied that the team chose to be “aggressive and active” and give resistance to the Clippers’ scoring effort. Ham took the opportunity to applaud D’Angelo Russell, Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince and LeBron James for setting “a hell of a tone with their activity, their aggressiveness”. While the coach did not deny that their recent win was one for the history books, he also highlighted that a long journey still awaits his team and that winning one battle does not ensure their overall position in the war.

LeBron James closed a 21-point deficit during the faceoff against the Clippers
The LA Clippers entered the recent game hoping for a chance to win, despite the fact that the absence of shooting guard Paul George and team center Ivica Zubac placed them at a disadvantage. This issue started to show its true colours during the 4 quarter, as LeBron James made use of a weak defence to add 19 additional points to his total during the final few minutes. Team center Anthony Davis was the secondary MVP of the game, contributing 20 points and 12 rebounds to the overall score.
Highlighting the incredible quarter in the aftermath of the game, James reportedly stated that he felt as if he possessed a “superpower” and wished if he could stay in that moment forever. While basking in the glory, he did not forget to mention the people without whom he would have managed to enjoy this moment.
