Luka Doncic and Devin Booker are two of the best dynamic guards currently playing in the NBA. They can score at will and make plays for their teammates. The two have been rivals since their early basketball encounters, and that rivalry has only intensified ever since they entered the league. The rivalry began in 2018 when the Suns passed up on Doncic with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft to select DeAndre Ayton.?

Doncic went to the Mavericks with the No. 3 pick, and he has since developed into an MVP-level threat. While Booker, at the age of 20, became the youngest player in NBA history to score 70 points in a game. Edge-to-edge competition has made it beyond the court. They are also competing in the sneaker industry, both of them having their signature shoe line.?

Booker?s first signature shoe, the D Book 1, is set to debut in Spring 2024. The shoe is a product of Nike, which has a staggering market cap of $147.28 billion. The Nike D Book 1 will retail for $150, which is slightly higher than Doncic?s latest Jordan product, the Jordan Luka 2, which retails at $130. While both players have immense fan following and influence, it seems that Nike believes that Booker?s appeal justifies a slightly higher price point.

They are arch-rivals on the court

Booker played for the Kentucky Wildcats, later joining hands with Phoenix Suns. While Doncic played for the Real Madrid Baloncesto, and is now a part of the Mavericks. They met in the 2018 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight finals and Booker led the Wildcats to a victory. Booker and Doncic have faced off against each other 18 times in their careers, with Booker holding a 12-6 winning record against Doncic. However, Doncic has gotten the better of Booker in recent seasons. In 2022, the Mavs defeated the Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals. Doncic had a monster game in Game 7 and he scored 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
