A position that one of the top dynasties in the NBA now holds – the Warriors. Another common feature is the 4 titles Golden State Warriors has to its name since the Curry-Thompson era.
The San Antonio Spurs also won 4 titles with their three musketeers during the years 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014. Incidentally, 2014 was the last championship the Spurs ever won. And now, they are passing their legacy on to the Dubs.

They sure did. An interesting fact is that after Tim Duncan’s retirement in 2016, the Spurs with Manu and Tony, lost to the Warriors in the 2016-17 Western Conference Finals season. The same season saw the Warriors win the championship as well.

It wouldn’t be far-fetched to say they promptly handed the baton down to Curry and Co. According to Sportinglad’s ranking of top dynasties in the NBA, the Warriors rank fifth (2014-2019). And the Spurs at seventh (1999-2014).
The ranking number could be misleading but notice the years. Right when the Splash Brothers joined forces with Draymond Green right behind, the Warriors took the title. Call it fate, but they were meant to be.
The testament to their efficiency can be seen when former US President Barack Obama tweeted his congratulations for their 4 title wins.

They may not be the team with the most title wins, like Boston or LA. But the Dubs have got more titles in the past 10 years than both the teams combined. The dictionary definition of a dynasty will put these facts up for debate. But this is sports. And when a team has highly skilled players and results to prove that – they become a dynasty. Pretty sure no one can argue on that point.
