Los Angeles Lakers led by LeBron James defied all odds to make it to the Western Conference Finals in 2023. There were a number of role players who played an integral part in helping the Lake Show make it to the playoffs despite having a poor record. One of them is Patrick Beverley, who spent a short time in Los Angeles. Despite his short stint, the 35-year-old had some controversial moments on court.

When the Lakers took on the Phoenix Suns in the latter half of the regular season, Lakers youngster Austin Reaves was seemingly bullied by the Suns and DeAndre Ayton. What Beverly did next is still recognized by the Lakers fanbase despite his on-court antics toward LeBron recently.

3-time All-Defensive Patrick Beverley has moved around a lot in the past few months. He joined the Lakers’ Patrick Beverley last year and was shipped off to the Chicago Bulls during the trade deadline. He is currently on the Philadelphia 76ers and is wishful of playing with 2018 MVP James Harden.

Although his stay was short-lived, it was full of on and off-court controversies. During a game against the Phoenix Suns, Austin Reaves went to the ground, and Suns center DeAndre Ayton was all over him.

While the rest of their team took their time to come to the youngster’s rescue, Beverly was the first person to come to Reaves’ side. 2020 NBA champion Anthony Davis was the next one to come to Reaves’ side.

It seems like the Lakers fanbase hasn’t forgotten about Beverly’s fanbase. In a Reddit post, a Lakers fan posted the video clip of the entire incident and gave the 35-year-old his flowers for his heroics.

One word that defines Patrick Beverley is chaos. The veteran joined the Bulls from the Lakers and it looks like he didn’t seem to care. The Bulls took on the Lakers on the 26th of March and LeBron James was in for a shocker.

The four-time NBA champion was back after a long injury hiatus. He didn’t have the best of returns as the Bulls beat the Lakers 118-108. Moreover, Beverly had some antics for the NBA legend. Following a basket against King James in the fourth quarter, Beverly hit LeBron with the ‘too small’ celebration. Not only James, but analyst Shannon Sharpe was also on the receiving end of Beverly’s antics.
