As a new age rivalry brews, we saw another display of the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings battle till the last play of the game. It was a loss orchestrated by an old foe. Harrison Barnes stepped up from the darkness and nailed the Warriors without mercy. After the game, he took a subtle shot at his former organization.

Back when the Warriors were still in the making of a dynasty, Barnes was an integral part of the group. The franchise drafted him in 20212 along with Draymond Green. He played with the team for four seasons before he was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks. Fate lined up their paths several times over the years, but tonight was Barnes’ big night.

Commanding the entire game, he scored 39 points to lead all scorers in the game. Barnes went head to head against Stephen Curry, even coming out on top. His performance was an overstep from his seasonal average of just 11 points per game. This was personal for the Kings’ man.

After the game, the reporter hunted him down and asked for his response. It only took three words to sum up Barnes’ emotion at winning such a nail-biting game and being the kingpin of the misery for the Warriors.
