Elon Musk has been trending on the internet lately, not because of his wealth but because of the new changes he made to his $15B worth company Twitter. Ever since Musk bought the social networking site, he has been continuously making moves. Sometimes a mass lay-off, other times some controversial updates.

Not long ago, Twitter launched the paid blue tick verification update on the app. The move itself became a controversial. And now, an NBA All-star player has taken a jibe at Musk and his company.

NBA star playfully condemns Musk and Twitter

Musk’s Twitter recently enforces post limits on users. Verified accounts can read 6,000 posts daily, while unverified accounts are restricted to 600. New unverified accounts are limited to 300. And when users surpass the limit, Twitter displays a “rate limit exceeded” message causing frustration among users.

Following the new update, Mark Zuckerberg launched a new social networking app Threads. The Meta CEO brought his ace on the table days after Musk and Mark challenged each other to a cage fight. Musk’s ring rival has now become his Twitter competitor.

Many NBA stars have joined the new platform and showed off the switch by making their first posts on the app. Among them is Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. His way of updating fans about the switch was a bit unique.

He took to the social media app and took a jibe at Twitter CEO, “Lmk when Twitter is dead, I heard it’s hanging on by a thread.

Threads has rapidly gained over 10 million users within hours of its global launch. This success establishes Threads as a credible alternative to Twitter. It has already earned the nickname “Twitter Killer” among internet users.
