Everyone loooves a good Halloween. While kids may love it for the trick-or-treats and the candies, adults love it for just one reason. Halloween is the only time of the year when you can dress up in something completely ridiculous and absolutely no one would bat an eye. Just ask Scottie Barnes and his Toronto Raptors team mate, Gradey Dick.
Rookie Gradey joined the Raptors just this summer as the 13th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft. Despite the short time together, it looks like he is already getting along very well with his team.

Halloween may still be a week away but that doesn’t mean you cannot start now. In a series of photos shared to his Instagram story, Scottie is seen rocking the Fronzone costume from the movie, The Incredibles. And the one that caught our attention was the one with Gradey. In the photo, the rookie is wearing the costume of the talking dog named Scooby from Warner Bros’ Scooby Doo. That is perhaps one way to scare the ghosts.
But what happens off-court is of little consequence actually. The duo will need to scare their opponents with some exceptional skills, if they ever want a repeat of their 2019 championship win.
What does the season look like for the Raptors?
Toronto had an underwhelming season last year. They finished with a 41-41 record and got bounced from the play-in tournament. Since then, they’ve made a few changes to the team. Head coach Nick Nurse was replaced by former Memphis Grizzlies assistant Darko Rajakovic. Also, point guard Fred VanVleet moved to the Houston Rockets.

Taking all of this into consideration, the expectations are huge on 2022 NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes. He will be starting his third year with the team, having been drafted as 4th overall pick in 2021 NBA Draft.
Additionally, the Eastern Conference being stronger than ever, many serious moves have been made this off-season. Therefore, it will be an uphill task for the Raptors to keep up with everyone.
