“Had A Blast”: Ayesha and Steph Curry Forego Birthday Weekend Celebration For the City Of Oakland

Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha continue to win hearts with their grand gesture. The Golden State Warriors superstar had the entire weekend for himself to celebrate his thumping victory against the LA Lakers and his 36 birthday. But the 4x champ instead joined hands with his wife to cheer for the runners at the Oakland Marathon.

Steph and Ayesha joined the event from the sidelines to cheer the runners, as their foundation, Eat. Learn. Play served as the official beneficiary of the race. Following the event, Ayesha proudly took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures of her with Steph from the event. The post also carried a wholesome caption that read, “Stephen and I had a blast cheering on the runners this morning at the Oakland Marathon… we send a heartfelt thank you to all the runners, sponsors, and volunteers for their support of Oakland students!”

Following Ayesha, Steph Curry also joined the party to congratulate the runners. He took to his X handle and shared the same pictures as his wife.

The Curry couple participated in the event hours after the Golden State Warriors’ emphatic win against the Lakers. Moreover, Steph turned up to the court after a grave ankle injury. He made his return count with a game-winning 31 points, sealing a 2-1 victory over the LA side in the regular season. Apart from that, he also had his 36th birthday celebration pending.

Nevertheless, he pushed all those celebrations aside and prioritized his foundation’s duty. This isn’t the first time when Steph has hinted at his willingness to work for the welfare of the community. Notably, he dropped a massive update on his political entry a few days ago.

Will Steph Curry extend his community work to the next level?

The answer seems to be yes, considering the superstar’s recent statement. During an interview with CBS for the launch of his new book, Steph hinted at his political entry. When the interviewer asked him if he would run for the presidential election, he said, “Maybe, I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can.” 

Steph was asked again after the interview if he was put on the spot to answer the question and he still stuck to his word. He also stated that it might not be any time soon. So the Dub Nation could expect their superstar to turn into a politician in the future. Steph indeed has a huge vote bank in his fans.
