“Gross Lineup”: Steve Kerr’s Nikola Jokic-Solution Sets Off Warriors Fans

Amid the criticism for a new starting line-up, the Golden State Warriors clipped their 3-game losing streak in their last outing. Following their win against the Orlando Magic, the Bay Area side has a tough challenge ahead of them: the defending champions Denver Nuggets. While fans expected Steve Kerr to go with the new line-up that got them their last win for the Nikola Jokic challenge, he brought even more changes to the new line-up. And this doesn’t seem to have impressed the fans.

The Warriors have been all over the place when it came to starting line-up this season. The trusted line-up comprising of Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins didn’t prove to make the difference for Steve Kerr because of inconsistency and absence. Since then, the star head coach has been on a hunt to find the perfect mix for the side.

Fans unleash rage on the Warriors’ new line-up

The initial changes in the line-up brought in Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski in as replacement. Fans in turn responded back with a rousing support, as it produced a rare five-game winning streak. But Kerr again brought in change, and this time fans weren’t happy.

In the line-up revealed ahead of the game, Kerr didn’t make any change except for replacing Trayce Jackson-Davis with Kevon Looney. Notably, Jackson-Davis has had an impressive run in the last few outings with his dominance near the rim, along with buckets.

On the other hand, Looney has the experience of tackling the towering Jokic at the rim, but this isn’t enough for the fans. They took to social media comments to set their rage against the Warriors’ new line-up. One user said, “Bro this a gross lineup im ngl.”

Ahead of the last game, fans argued that having CP3 and Stephen Curry in the starting line-up deeply impacts the team. But, the veteran guards proved the fans wrong by winning the game against the lethal Orlando side.

The important question is, will the team prove the fans wrong and win the game like they did against the Orlando Magic?

Above all, the Dubs themselves have a lot to prove against the Nuggets, as they already lost both outings against them.

What should the Warriors do differently against the Nuggets?

The Warriors visited the Denver side in their last outing, and surprisingly went toe to toe against them. The visitors led the game for most of the game and kept Jokic quiet in the first half.

However, the game went in favor of the Nuggets in the end. And Kerr wasn’t impressed by the officiating as Jokic dropped 18 FTs while having a poor 4-12 FG. “I have no problem with the officials themselves,” said Kerr after the game.

So the Warriors can work on their defense and look to avoid giving away the fouls.
