The Delta Center was witness to a tense tussle in the closing seconds of the game. Utah was hosting the Chicago Bulls, and they had a one-point lead in those final moments. The Jazz were looking to get free throws when Collin Sexton committed a personal foul on DeMar DeRozan. That too, in front of the Bulls’ bench. It’s unclear what happened after this, but some words were exchanged, and before you know it, John Collins was throwing hands around.
Unfortunately, Chris Fleming, a Bulls assistant coach, also got involved. Within seconds, Fleming found himself being shoved and his throat being grabbed before Collins was restrained. Of course, this warranted techs, but funny enough, Chicago got two while Utah got one. And this did not sit well with fans on X.
@BullsMuse, the Twitter page that posts the Bulls stats, tweeted, “How did John Collins not get ejected???? He literally grabbed a coach’s neck. Are you kidding me?? Bulls got 2 techs Jazz only got one on Collins…”

This user was seriously offended. So much so that he said, “John Collins should be locked up behind barsss”

While there might be many supporters for Chicago, this user seems to think otherwise. She thinks that the Bulls assistant coach should be the one getting suspended while Torrey Craig shouldn’t even have been involved.
The Bulls assistant coach should get suspended for getting in John Collins’s face. And Torrey Craig needs to sit his ass down. You’re in street clothes, and your Torrey Craig. pic.twitter.com/hAMHvjZq2b

Finally, this user seems to have taken a neutral stand, just posting what is being shown in the clip.
This was absolutely insane. From what it looks like, John Collins’s hand goes from Chris Fleming’s shoulder to his neck putting him in a near CHOKE hold. #Bulls #SeeRed https://t.co/bneRciEF7j

Despite it all, the Chicago Bulls came out victorious with a 119-117 score. The Jazz did get a chance at the game-winning basket after the altercation, but DeRozan made sure to hit the free throws that got them the win.
The shorthanded Jazz fell to the Bulls despite a great performance from John Collins
The ‘Salt Lake City’ was missing quite a number of their key players – Lauri Markkanen, Taylor Hendricks, Walker Kessler, etc. Yet, they put up a great fight. Aside from the ugly brawl, John Collins had a double-double with a team-high 25 points while grabbing 13 rebounds. But a notable performance was from none other than the Jazz rookie, Brice Sensabaugh.

In the absence of so many players, Sensabaugh got to feature as a starter for the first time and did not disappoint. He hit his first double-double tonight with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and an assist in 30 minutes of game time. Behind Collins was Collin Sexton, with 24 points, seven assists, and four rebounds.
