“Got Rid of the Wrong Guy”: Throwing Shade at Draymond Green, Dub Nation Welcomes Jordan Poole With Open Arms

The Golden State Warriors faced off against the Washington Wizards for the first time this season. The Warriors and the Wizards were among the teams that traded substantial players from each of their rosters this past offseason—specifically, trading away Jordan Poole for Chris Paul.

As the Wizards came into town, the Warriors played a tribute video for Poole and his contributions to the team. This led to fans speculating if the team got rid of the right guy after all.

The Golden State Warriors have been able to build some momentum to win three games in a row, looking to make it four. Washington, on the other hand, would like to get the win in the hopes of improving their overall record.

But before things commenced on the hardwood floor, Golden State made sure to give former Warriors player Jordan Poole his flowers. While the Wizards players were being announced, Poole got a tribute video from the Warriors.

And this ended up sparking some turmoil among fans. Not only did most of the arena welcome Jordan Poole back with open arms, but some fans on social media ended up throwing shade at Draymond Green as well.

One fan on X posted, “They got rid of the wrong guy.”

Draymond Green is currently facing a lengthy suspension after landing a punch on Suns’ center Jusuf Nurkic and is out of the Warriors rotation. Given Green’s history of violence on the court, this clearly wasn’t the first time he has been involved in something like this.

In fact, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole got into an altercation when Poole was with Golden State, leading Green to punch Poole and start a whole scandal about it.

Fans were happy to see Jordan Poole back in Chase Center. The entire arena cheered as the tribute video went on and he also got a standing ovation from the crowd as well.

But the Draymond Green bashing did not stop on social media. One fan on X posted, “I think Dreymond Green purposely opted to be suspended prior to this game so that he could  avoid this game against Poole.”

While another fan commented, “Trade Draymond Anger management Green to the Wizards for Poole.”
