Like the yearly tradition, Coney Island hosted the 4th of July Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest. The annual Hot Dog Eating Contest has gained a lot of popularity over the years, primarily thanks to 29-year-old Joey Chestnut. And this year was no different, as Chestnut went home with the title once again. While fans are always amazed by his exploits, they were joined by a former #1 NBA Draft pick as Chestnut fell just short of his own all-time record of 76 hot dogs and buns.?
Joey Chestnut has become a big name in the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest, drawing a lot of attention every year.

Joey Chestnut had this former number-one NBA Draft pick impressed
Chestnut is a competitive eater with Major League Eating. He has won an insane 16 titles in the past 17 years. This year?s record set by Chestnut was 62 hotdogs in a mere 10 minutes, emerging victorious yet again.

While Chestnut was competing in this year?s annual Hot Dog Eating Contest, 2021 number-one pick Cade Cunningham too, was in attendance. He was recording Chestnut while shouting ?Glizzy Gladiator? at him on Instagram Live.

According to reports, Joey Chestnut competes in more than 20 events each year and is a holder of 55 world records as well. Chestnut?s reign at the top of competitive eating contests has earned him a lot of endorsement deals over the years.

Some of the companies he has worked with are Pepto Bismol, Pepsi, Hooters, Hostess, and Raising Cane. Not only does Chestnut have his own personal hot sauce, but he has also even appeared at NBA games at halftime. Joey Chestnut?s amazing feat not only caught Cade Cunningham and his teammate Jaden Ivey by surprise but a lot of fans on the internet were in disbelief as well.
