Ronnie 2K, the marketing director of NBA2K, received a dose of reality for his claims. His public image was pressed down even more when his knowledge of the game was questioned.

Ronnie 2K presented Victor Wembanyama with his latest rating of 84 through a video. The 19-year-old surpassed Zion Williamson‘s 81 rating in his rookie year. The first-ever NBA2K rating of the 7’5″ rookie was supposed to be the highest-ever rating for a rookie, as reported by The Rookie Wire.

In the latest episode of Gil’s Arena, the host Josiah Johnson disagreed and highlighted, “The previous high for a rookie belonged to our very own Kenyon Martin who was an 86″. This contradicted Ronnie 2K’s previously made promise. The former all-star Gilbert Arenas was quick to throw a jab saying, “Ronnie 2k probably wouldn’t know that because Ronnie 2k came after him”.

Kenyon Martin, the former Brooklyn Nets player, was a sensation, to say the least. He joined NBA All-Rookie First Team and finished second in the NBA Rookie of the Year voting justifying his NBA2k rookie year rating. The hype around Wembanyama is way more because many deem him to become one of the greatest draft prospects of all time.

Did he deserve an even higher rating?

The world would get a better idea as to why Wembanyama is rated 84 once the game is released. The rating of his character’s each feature is unknown, begging whether he could have been rated higher.

Under Coach Pop, he is looking to improve his play further by the end of the season. In the rating reveal video, he confirmed the same. When asked about it, he said his rating of NBA2k would be 90 by the end of the season.
